Standard Subscription Terms and Conditions


1. CATCHPLAY+ Standard Subscriptions: Standard Subscription provides unlimited access to all premium movies, series and shows in the “Subscription” section. However, due to licensor policy, titles in the “Rental” section must be rented individually for viewing. The particulars of each subscription plan, including its associated benefits and limitations, must be considered in conjunction with the comprehensive CATCHPLAY+ Terms and Conditions available on the CATCHPLAY+ website. By subscribing to any plan, the account holder acknowledges and agrees to be bound by both the specific terms governing the selected plan and the general terms outlined in the CATCHPLAY+ Terms and Conditions.

2. Billing Cycle: (A) Where purchase is made through the CATCHPLAY+ website and/or application, once the subscription begins or the free trial period expires, the subscription will automatically renew on a monthly basis until it is cancelled. The monthly subscription fee will be automatically charged based on the payment method selected by the account holder. Starting from the second month of subscription, the recurring billing date for the account will be determined by the day following the initial subscription date. For instance, if the account’s initial subscription date is March 12, the billing date for each subsequent month will be on the 13th day of that month, and so on. (B) Where purchase is made through iOS App and/or Apple TV, once the subscription begins or the free trial period expires, the subscription will automatically renew on a monthly basis until it is cancelled. The monthly subscription fee will be automatically charged by iTunes, based on the payment method selected by the account holder. The subsequent billing date will be determined by iTunes accordingly. (C) Where purchase is made through Google Play, once the subscription begins or the free trial period expires, the subscription will automatically renew on a monthly basis until it is cancelled. The monthly subscription fee will be automatically charged by Google Play, based on the payment method selected by the account holder. The subsequent billing date will be determined by Google Play accordingly. (D) Where purchase is made through a third-party service provider, such as a telecom carrier, the monthly subscription fee and billing date will be collected according to the payment method agreed upon between the account holder and the third-party service provider.

3. Cancellation: The account holder may cancel its subscription as outlined below. Please be advised that are unable to process refunds or convert payments into stored value for any unused services and/or unwatched content. (A) Where purchase is made through the CATCHPLAY+ website and/or application, the account holder may cancel its subscription at any time by logging into the CATCHPLAY+ website and navigating to “My Account” -> “Plan Details”. Upon successful cancellation, the account holder (including its sub-accounts) will retain access to the content until the conclusion of the current billing cycle. Following cancellation, the account holder’s membership status (including that of its sub-accounts) will automatically revert to “Free Member”. For instance, if the account holder’s payment date falls on the 13th of each month and the subscription is cancelled on August 5, the account holder (including its sub-accounts) will maintain access until August 12. Starting on August 13, no further monthly subscription fee will be charged, and the account holder’s membership status (including that of its sub-accounts) will revert to “Free Member”. In case where the account holder has opted for carrier billing, the payment date will be determined by the arrangement between the account holder and its telecom provider. To avoid incurring charges for the subsequent billing cycle, the account holder must ensure cancellation prior to the commencement of the next cycle. Should cancellation occur after the cycle has begun, the telecom carrier may still process the current cycle’s subscription fee. However, no charge will be applied in the following cycle. (B) Where purchase is made through iOS App and/or Apple TV, the account holder may manage its subscription through iTunes. To ensure proper cancellation, the account holder must cancel the subscription at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle. Upon successful cancellation, the account holder (including its sub-accounts) will retain access to the content until the conclusion of the current billing cycle. Following cancellation, the account holder’s membership status (including that of its sub-accounts) will automatically revert to “Free Member”. If cancellation is not completed in a timely manner, iTunes may still process the current cycle’s subscription fee. However, no charge will be applied in the following cycle. (C) Where purchase is made through Google Play, the account holder may manage its subscription through Google Play. To ensure proper cancellation, the account holder must cancel the subscription at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle. Upon successful cancellation, the account holder (including its sub-accounts) will retain access to the content until the conclusion of the current billing cycle. 4. Change of Subscription: (A) Where purchase is made through the CATCHPLAY+ website and/or application, the account holder must first cancel the current subscription plan. Once the current billing cycle ends, the account holder may proceed to change its subscription plan. (B) Where purchase is made through iOS App and/or Apple TV, the account holder must cancel the current subscription plan through iTunes to avoid duplicate billing. (C) Where purchase is made through Google Play, the account holder must cancel the current subscription plan through Google Play to avoid duplicate billing. (D) Where purchase is made through a third-party service provider, such as a telecom carrier, the account holder should contact its service provider directly to effect the change.

5. Subscriber Rewards Voucher (Single Rental): In the event that the primary account holder (excluding sub-accounts) has watched at least 30 minutes of any full-length on-demand video on CATCHPLAY+ (excluding trailer, TV Channel, behind the scenes or other non-on-demand video content) during any given subscription month, commencing from the second month of the applicable subscription term, the primary account holder will receive a Subscriber Rewards Voucher for such preceding month. This Subscriber Rewards Voucher can be redeemed for one video from the “Rental” section for free (excluding the titles with “Early Access” label). The primary account holder (excluding sub-accounts) may use and accumulate all rewarded Subscriber Rewards Voucher as long as the subscription is active. If the subscription is discontinued, any unredeemed Subscriber Rewards Voucher will become void, with no possibility of recovery or reissuance, even if the subscription is later resumed. This reward is only applicable to the primary account holders of "CATCHPLAY+ Standard Subscription" and "CATCHPLAY+ Group Plan", and is not applicable to those of the "Live TV Channel Plan".

6. Supported Devices: CATCHPLAY+ services are accessible via iOS and Android mobile apps, Chrome and Safari browsers, and Chromecast. Additionally, our TV app can be downloaded from Google Play, the App Store, Samsung and LG stores for smart TVs and set-top boxes. We reserve the right to modify the list of supported playback devices at our discretion. For inquiries regarding compatibility or details on supported operating system versions, please refer to the “Support Center” section on the CATCHPLAY+ website.

7. Device Requirement: To ensure an uninterrupted viewing experience, CATCHPLAY+ may adjust the resolution and bitrate of the video based on the capabilities and internet speed of the current viewing device. 4K content will be gradually introduced, and it is recommended to use a large screen device for optimal viewing. If the internet speed or device performance does not meet CATCHPLAY+’s 4K quality requirements, the video will be played at the highest quality supported by the device and connection instead.

8. Concurrent Streaming and Device Limit: Each account, including the primary account and the sub-accounts, may log in to the CATCHPLAY+ service on up to 5 devices and stream on up to 2 devices simultaneously. For instance, under a “Group Plan” subscription, the primary account and its 2 sub-accounts may collectively register up to 15 devices, with a maximum of 6 concurrent streams allowed.

9. User Entitlement: Entitlements and service features may vary depending on the type of user account and subscription plan for both VOD and live TV channel streaming services. Account holders and sub-accounts may have different access rights, privileges, or functionalities. Additionally, certain content and features may be limited to specific user types or plans. For instance, “Guest” (i.e., a user without a registered CATCHPLAY+ account) may access “Free Access” channels and may preview “Login Required” and “Subscription Required” channels for up to 15 minutes, each of which free of charge and with advertisements. “Fan” (i.e., a user with a registered CATCHPLAY+ account but no active subscription) may watch “Free Access” and “Login Required” channels and may preview “Subscription Required” channels for up to 15 minutes, each of which without charge and with advertisements. "Live TV Channel Plan" account holders may only watch live TV channels and have no access to any on-demand video content on CATCHPLAY+. “Lover” (i.e., a user with a registered CATCHPLAY+ account and active subscription, including Group Plan members) may watch “Free Access”, “Login Required” and “Subscription Required” channels, each of which without advertisements. We reserve the right to adjust these rights and services from time to time.

10. Content and Language Availability: The content available on CATCHPLAY+ may vary by country or region and is subject to change at any time. Subtitle languages and dubbed versions may also differ depending on the licensing policies of the respective licensors.

11. Live TV Channel Tiers With or Without Advertisements: We offer different live TV channel tiers, some with advertisements and some predominantly without. Live TV content tiers described as “no ads” or “ad-free” or similar terms are generally free of commercial interruptions, with certain exceptions that may change from time to time, including where streaming rights or other limitations require certain content to play with pre-roll advertisements, and advertisements are served in certain live or linear content or special events (and replay thereof).

12. Additional Content: From time to time, we may offer the opportunity to watch additional VOD and live TV channel tier content. For instance, “Guest” may preview “Login Required” and “Subscription Required” live TV channels for up to 15 minutes with advertisements. We offer this additional content on a promotional basis and retain sole discretion regarding the availability of the content, eligibility to watch the content, requirements to access the content, and whether or not such content includes advertisements.

13. Live Channel Availability and Programming: The availability period of each live TV channel may vary depending on the terms of the respective channel’s licensing agreement. Due to licensing restrictions, the content of live TV channels broadcasted on CATCHPLAY+ may differ from their corresponding cable TV channels. Certain content may be subject to blackouts or replaced. Additionally, temporary broadcasts or last-minute changes to programming may occur, causing discrepancies between the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) and actual content. CATCHPLAY+ will make reasonable efforts to inform users of any significant changes, but cannot guarantee complete accuracy in the EPG at all times.

14. Plan Terms and Modification: The content available on CATCHPLAY+ is authorized for use in Taiwan only. We reserve the right to adjust the name, price, content, validity period, and viewing privileges of any plan on CATCHPLAY+. Prior to any such modification, we will assess whether notification to the account holder is necessary. If so, we will notify you in the most efficient manner via your contact details on file. If the account holder does not agree with the modification, it may cancel its subscription at any time. Failure to do so will be deemed as acceptance of the changes and continued agreement to the adjusted subscription terms. Group Plan Terms and Conditions


1. CATCHPLAY+ Group Plans: Group Plan provides unlimited access to all premium movies, series and shows in the “Subscription” section. However, due to licensor policy, titles in the “Rental” section must be rented individually for viewing. Group Plan allows the primary account holder to invite up to 2 sub-accounts to join its group, at no additional charge, for family members and/or friends. The sub-account members can be modified as needed, with a limit of one change per month. In addition, the account holder will receive a 15% discount on “Rentals” purchased through the CATCHPLAY+ website. The particulars of each subscription plan, including its associated benefits and limitations, must be considered in conjunction with the comprehensive CATCHPLAY+ Terms and Conditions available on the CATCHPLAY+ website. TV Only Terms and Conditions

(C) Where purchase is made through Google Play, the account holder must cancel the current subscription plan through Google Play to avoid duplicate billing. (D) Where purchase is made through a third-party service provider, such as a telecom carrier, the account holder should contact its service provider directly to effect the change.

5. Supported Devices: CATCHPLAY+ services are accessible via iOS and Android mobile apps, Chrome and Safari browsers, and Chromecast. Additionally, our TV app can be downloaded from Google Play, the App Store, Samsung and LG stores for smart TVs and set-top boxes. We reserve the right to modify the list of supported playback devices at our discretion. For inquiries regarding compatibility or details on supported operating system versions, please refer to the “Support Center” section on the CATCHPLAY+ website.

6. Device Requirement: To ensure an uninterrupted viewing experience, CATCHPLAY+ may adjust the resolution and bitrate of the video based on the capabilities and internet speed of the current viewing device. 4K content will be gradually introduced, and it is recommended to use a large screen device for optimal viewing. If the internet speed or device performance does not meet CATCHPLAY+’s 4K quality requirements, the video will be played at the highest quality supported by the device and connection instead.

7. Concurrent Streaming and Device Limit: Each account, including the primary account and the sub-accounts, may log in to the CATCHPLAY+ service on up to 5 devices and stream on up to 2 devices simultaneously. For instance, under a “Group Plan” subscription, the primary account and its 2 sub-accounts may collectively register up to 15 devices, with a maximum of 6 concurrent streams allowed.

8. User Entitlement: Entitlements and service features may vary depending on the type of user account and subscription plan for both VOD and live TV channel streaming services. Account holders and sub-accounts may have different access rights, privileges, or functionalities. Additionally, certain content and features may be limited to specific user types or plans. For instance, “Guest” (i.e., a user without a registered CATCHPLAY+ account) may access “Free Access” channels and may preview “Login Required” and “Subscription Required” channels for up to 15 minutes, each of which free of charge and with advertisements. “Fan” (i.e., a user with a registered CATCHPLAY+ account but no active subscription) may watch “Free Access” and “Login Required” channels and may preview “Subscription Required” channels for up to 15 minutes, each of which without charge and with advertisements. "Live TV Channel Plan" account holders may only watch live TV channels and have no access to any on-demand video content on CATCHPLAY+. “Lover” (i.e., a user with a registered CATCHPLAY+ account and active subscription, including Group Plan members) may watch “Free Access”, “Login Required” and “Subscription Required” channels, each of which without advertisements. We reserve the right to adjust these rights and services from time to time.

9. Content and Language Availability: The content available on CATCHPLAY+ may vary by country or region and is subject to change at any time. Subtitle languages and dubbed versions may also differ depending on the licensing policies of the respective licensors.

10. Live TV Channel Tiers With or Without Advertisements: We offer different live TV channel tiers, some with advertisements and some predominantly without. Live TV content tiers described as “no ads” or “ad-free” or similar terms are generally free of commercial interruptions, with certain exceptions that may change from time to time, including where streaming rights or other limitations require certain content to play with pre-roll advertisements, and advertisements are served in certain live or linear content or special events (and replay thereof).

11. Additional Content: From time to time, we may offer the opportunity to watch additional VOD and live TV channel tier content. For instance, “Guest” may preview “Login Required” and “Subscription Required” live TV channels for up to 15 minutes with advertisements. We offer this additional content on a promotional basis and retain sole discretion regarding the availability of the content, eligibility to watch the content, requirements to access the content, and whether or not such content includes advertisements.

12. Live Channel Availability and Programming: The availability period of each live TV channel may vary depending on the terms of the respective channel’s licensing agreement. Due to licensing restrictions, the content of live TV channels broadcasted on CATCHPLAY+ may differ from their corresponding cable TV channels. Certain content may be subject to blackouts or replaced. Additionally, temporary broadcasts or last-minute changes to programming may occur, causing discrepancies between the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) and actual content. CATCHPLAY+ will make reasonable efforts to inform users of any significant changes, but cannot guarantee complete accuracy in the EPG at all times.

13. Plan Terms and Modification: The content available on CATCHPLAY+ is authorized for use in Taiwan only. We reserve the right to adjust the name, price, content, validity period, and viewing privileges of any plan on CATCHPLAY+. Prior to any such modification, we will assess whether notification to the account holder is necessary. If so, we will notify you in the most efficient manner via your contact details on file. If the account holder does not agree with the modification, it may cancel its subscription at any time. Failure to do so will be deemed as acceptance of the changes and continued agreement to the adjusted subscription terms.
